Foods that Heal.

Food does one of two things: it either builds the body up or tears it down. Start incorporating the following foods to build your body up.

• Apples – beneficial for the heart through their pectin content and a great source of soluble and insoluble fiber.

• Broccoli – one of the most powerful food choices. It’s loaded with vitamin A, calcium, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. It’s high in fiber with a lot of chromium, which acts as an insulin regulator.

• Carrots – high in beta-carotene along with alpha-carotene, which has been known to lower lung cancer. They are also high in fiber, potassium, and vitamin C.

• Onions – contain sulfides, which may lower blood lipids and blood pressure. They also contain flavonoids, which act as protection against cardiovascular disease. They have anti-microbial properties and are a powerful agent against bad bacteria.
